Having completed her medical degree at University of Notre Dame Fremantle, Alison undertook most of her training as a junior doctor at King Edward’s Memorial Hospital, where she cemented her interest in working with women. While pursuing a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology she soon realised that she could combine her training in obstetrics with GP which would enable her to offer continuity of care to patients.
She now works in her “dream job” as a GP Obstetrician which enables her to look after women through all stages of their pregnancy journey including pre-pregnancy counselling, antenatal care, intrapartum care right up to post-natal care and beyond.
When she is not working at One for Women, she works at Bentley Hospital as one of the GP obstetricians on the Obstetric Roster.
She is married with two little girls who keep her very busy and when not working she enjoy spending time with my family.
Alison Philpott has a purple belt in Kickboxing.
