Originally from Malaysia, I completed my undergraduate medical education in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) with honours. Following this I pursued Specialist Training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Dublin, Ireland and worked across various tertiary maternity services.
I undertook a one year Fellowship Training in Gynaecology Oncology in the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne in 2011 which enabled me to extend my experience in major complex gynaecology surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery, which is my main area of interest.
As a certified colposcopist with the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, I provide colposcopy services to women with abnormal cervical screening tests and offer outpatient LLETZ treatment.
I am passionate in working in a multidisciplinary setting which includes primary care and allied health such as physiotherapy to provide optimum care for women with chronic conditions such as endometriosis.
I currently have a public appointment with St John of God Midland as the Head of Department in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. My public appointment enables me to be actively involved in research and audit in various aspects of obstetrics & gynaecology and to focus on the delivery of high quality, safe care that empowers women.
